This project didn't begin with a brief — it began with a relationship. Having shaped KAN Tulum's brand from research through launch, we understood the property's DNA at a molecular level. When KAN's ownership moved to formalize their wellness programming, the ask was clear: build something that feels native to KAN but lives on its own terms. Not an extension. Not a sub-brand buried in a footer. A fully realized identity for a category the hospitality world is still learning how to get right.
Wellness travel is now a market measured in hundreds of billions — and growing. But scale has come with dilution. The word "wellness" has been stretched across everything from infrared saunas to lobby diffusers, flattened into an amenity checkbox rather than a philosophy guests can feel. The opportunity for KAN Forma wasn't to enter this space — it was to redefine what credibility looks like within it. Deep brand evolution, not a spa menu with a new font. A identity guests could trust, return to, and grow with over years, not stays.

We developed KAN Forma as a brand that carries weight — visually, verbally, and strategically. The naming bridges KAN's architectural heritage with the Latin root of form, shape, and transformation. The visual identity system was built to feel grounded and intentional: restrained typography, an earth-led palette, and a design language that communicates discipline without austerity. Every touchpoint was designed to signal that this isn't hospitality wellness as usual — it's a practice space with the rigor to match.

Part of what makes KAN Forma credible is the team behind it. KAN's ownership assembled practitioners, programmers, and creative partners with real depth — and the brand needed to reflect that caliber. Our role was to ensure the identity honored the expertise in the room: positioning KAN Forma not as a hotel amenity but as a destination within a destination, where the people leading the work are as considered as the architecture surrounding it. Brand equity, in this case, is built on trust in the humans who show up.
